I’ve just made my Hackintosh and it’s everything I expected and more. I've written this build report to hopefully help others with their own first builds.

I picked these parts based on Tony's recommendations so I wouldn't have (as many) problems as I may have had. I wanted a nicer micro-ITX case, but this one was on sale and figured I would make a really nice one in the future. I also purchased an EVGA GTX 750 Ti 2GB GPU, but I've decided to return it and wait for a deal on newer/better cards until I actually need it when Overwatch releases. I'm running League of Legends on Medium/High speeds and am easily maintaining 60 FPS just on HD 4600 integrated graphics. GeekBench 3 scores are single-core - 2899, multi-core - 8648.
UniBeast should always be set up in verbose mode IMO to make it easier to debug if and when you have installation problems. My first hurdle came in the form of "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport." After extensive reading, this turns out to be an issue where the integrated graphics basically crashes. To fix this, boot into superuser mode with the boot options "-v -s" and follow these instructions.
Dual booting was a bit difficult because I didn’t have an extra flash drive to install Windows so I gutted an old PC I had for it’s DVD drive. Also gutted a 320GB HDD to use as shared disk storage to keep my media. I use it to run my Plex server so I’ll be able to play my media on whatever OS is running.
Setting up iMessage was complicated because Clover isn't very intuitive. I found out I wasn't actually inputting the right values in the RT Variables section. When you calculate the values, you have to copy them over to the top row.
UPDATE: Right before I published this, my iMessage just broke again and for some reason, works with a majority of iMessage recipients, but not some. Odd. Anyone else have this problem?
I ended up having to start over from scratch though because I wanted to switch the SSDs which OS X and Windows were set up on. This was pretty easy since all the hard work was done already, just took a bit of time.
These are the next goals for my system:
- Fix iMessage again
- Buy and install graphics card
- Set up Bluetooth & configuring Handoff/Continuity
- Figuring out how to properly setup Wake on LAN
