How to "set" settings not found in the voodooHDA settings plist?

My audio is working great, but every time I boot into OSX I have to turn down the slider (disable): Microphone IN "Speaker" in system prefs > voodoohda settings. Turning this down removes all the static that I hear.

I am able to edit the voodoohda settings kext file but there is no default setting for this.

What is the proper way to add this entry to the kext so that I don't have to change it manually every time I boot?
