Currently my storage is pretty simple. 2x 256GB Samsung SSDs. One for Win10 and one for OSX. Not suprisingly storage space is getting a bit tight even with most of my iLife library on a NAS. Win10 space is getting eaten up by games. So i want to add some traditional hard drives to the mix.

Questions 1. Adding to Win10 should be easy, just format for NTFS and it gets a drive letter that i can assign to Steam and Origin for storage. Any issues there?

  1. OSX I would like to keep the storage unified. Would i be able to use me SSD and HD to create a Fusion drive? I use Clover right now and i've seen some how-to to create a fusion drive. Any issues with that being my boot drive? Would it be as "simple" as backing up my clover install and OSX install (Carbon Copy Cloner or similar) create the new volume, and restore?

  2. My hackintosh lives in an old G5 case, right now the SSDs live in the hard drive bay at the top, i'm thinking i'd use the heavey duty velcro to mount them below the optical drive and use short SATA cables to hook them up.

Thoughts?
