Been running my hackintosh build for the past 3-years and have always had audio issues. Only audio input I can get to work without too many issues is the optical one. The other back audio ports do not work — however the front one (headphone port) does.
Recently I have upgraded to a nice pair of headphones (HD598 SE) and would like to drive them through a external usb amp/dac device.
Still running Yosemite and have the GA-Z77X-UD5H Motherboard.
Looking for something that will be a good long term investment.
I really have no experience with audio devices so all advice is greatly appreciated!
