Hi guys,
I am looking to build a gaming PC for my home and have been debating for about a month wether I should go the hackintosh route (I love my imac that I have for work) and I would have gone for the iMac but the framerate is maxed at 60fps. The cost is 3k for the one I am after (at least) and the hardware cannot be swapped.
At least for my old iMac I can swap at least the RAM in and out. Can't do that in this new one apparently. Yes, it is 5k. I am sure it looks gorgeous. Its just not for me however.
That being said, I love Mac OSX. I use it for work, I have hardly any plugins or 3rd party programs I have to install to get my work done. I know it, it is stable, it is seamless with my phone ect.
What I want is a computer I can set up at home, do any work on it I need, do some assignments and then gaming. Is there such a thing as a Hackintosh that will run the 144hz BenQ monitors at 1920x1080? I have no idea where to look after heading to the sidebar since the builds I see don't specifically talk about framerates ect.
