Trying to find the best answer but it's complicated. Trying to find the best system definition. I have a Haswell processor but Kepler video card -- I rely on both heavily since I use my machine to mostly do video editing, coloring, and FX that crunch the GPU. I will be upgrading the GPU in the future but need to stay put with the nvidia GT 740 for now. I'm currently on 3,1 because that was how I could get a stable install for a current job, but as that's coming to a close I'm looking to really find the best fit. Looks like some people are saying iMac 14,2 but that creates a kernel panic on boot, even when troubleshooting with many iterations of boot args. I have also seen some using the Mac Pro 5,1 definition but haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions? Specs below:
