So I'll go ahead and write out my specs:
....................
Intel i7-4790K
ASUS Z97-A USB 3.1
*NOTE: My BIOS is on the latest version.
GTX 970 SLI
Samsung 850 EVO (drive I want to install on)
....................
So basically I have an older Macbook from like 2009 that I used to get OS X El Capitan and using the latest version of Clover to setup the USB seemed to work without error. Using the latest version of UniBeast seemed to work without error. I basically followed the guides exactly.
I've gone into the BIOS and disabled Secure Boot, VT-d, selected "Other OS," and disabled the CFG-Lock as well as setting it to "Load Optimized Defaults" beforehand.
Once I get to the menu to select the drives and where you can enter boot flags and etc. I only get one option to start OS X and that's from my USB (which was in a USB 2.0 port) and when I simply go through that with no boot flags I get stuck on the black screen with the white Apple logo.
Then I tried a few different boot flags I've seen online, for example, I tried using the "nv_disable=1" and a few others and this is the error I always end up with:
"OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++"
So I used Clover on OS X afterwards and made sure I selected the check box for the "OsxAptioFixDrv" thing and still no luck getting past that Apple logo.
I honestly have about 0 experience with OS X so I no nothing about what this all means.
