I'm using the integrated HD4600 graphics on the i7-4770k with a Gigabyte Z87X0UD4H / 16GB RAM / SSD /OSX 10.8.5... I'm just getting into video editing and PP CS4 video hangs in the Program Monitor window while editing (audio is continuous).
What can I do to improve this specific problem? Would maxxing out my RAM to 32GB go farther than adding a (modest, sub-$200) dedicated GPU?
Not looking for multiple monitors, I do no gaming, I don't really care much about rendering time, so its the on-the-fly editing speed I'm concerned with. Any suggestions? TIA
