I'm really new to this, so pardon my idiocy.

I have a Powercolor R9 390 on El Capitan. So far I've done the following:

  • Inject ATI
  • FB Name: Radeon
  • Set VRAM to 8,192
  • Video Ports to 4
  • Fake ID on ATI set to 0x67B01002
  • AMD8000Controller Kext installed

I've been trying to get this to work for weeks on end with no luck. I don't think any of my changes on Clover Configurator are actually affecting my system, given that I've followed guides to the letter and not even something as simple as setting the SMBIOS to a MacPro6,1 reflects any change: It still thinks it's an iMac 27".

Is it possible I'm selecting the wrong EFI? Should it be its own EFI drive or is it supposed to be somewhere on El Capitan installation drive itself? When I start clover, it always asks me for the EFI partition. I mount it and then open the config.plist on that respective drive. When I'm done I press Export -> Save on the bottom left corner and reboot. No changes ever show up. The graphics card remains shown as a 7mb Display and I get hella graphical glitches.

Any help please?

My Specs:

  • AsRock z97 Extreme3
  • Intel i5 4460
  • Ram is Ram is Ram 8gb?
  • AMD Powercolor R9 390 8gb
  • PNY 240GB SSD
