So I've discovered one of those potential quirks of a Hackintosh. With middle-aged eyes I've long been bumping up font size (Command + in OS X) in browser windows to ease eye strain. Browsers in Windows re-open where I've left them, as do FireFox and Chrome in OS X. Safari, however, reverts to a default resolution based on the monitor dot pitch, so I'm assuming some kind of session data aren't being retained. This doesn't happen on the Mac in the house, so clearly is an artifact of this Hackintosh.
I keep enough tabs going that I've been in the habit of running all three browsers, Safari, FF, Chrome on OS X, and IE, FF, Chrome on Windows. Different collections of tabs per browser--just a weird habit of mine. If there's a fix for the Safari behavior, that'd remove a minor but persistent annoyance in OS X. Gets tiring going through each of the tabs bumping up the text to my comfort level.
