Before I start, I want to thank @esmth and @Shaneee from Nova-x.co.uk for all the help with this install, it hasn't been easy.
I have technically installed El Capitan onto my FX 8350 PC, although with the current kernel from Shaneee, it does have graphical issues, which hopefully can get fixed in the future.
I can't remember all the details on how I installed it, so if anything doesnt make sense let me know :-)
So, I first used a VM on my Intel i3 laptop, which is running El Capitan to make a bootable USB, I used Pandora's box III to make the USB and load the custom kernel to it. Once it was installed to my USB, I then loaded FakeSMC to it, so that it could boot properly.
It was then ready to install? Nope. When I tried to boot this, I got the AppleUSBEHCI restart loop, so I was directed to a forum post on nova-x.co.uk which gave me instructions on how to fix it, and it worked! I can't remembe the details of the post but it involved adding more files to the USB, etc. Once I booted from the updated version of the USB, I got past the loop, but I then encounted a "waiting for root device" error, which I simply fixed by plugging my USB into a USB2.0 port, and it picked up straight away.
After about 20 seconds, it went straght into the OS X installer, which I used to format my HDD to extended journled, but my HDD wasn't showing up in diskutil because I had formatted it in Linux, and I did it wrong, so I went back into Linux and formatted it using the "compatible with all systems" option, then it showed up in OS X, once it was formatted, I installed!
At this point, I was happy that I had finally got it working :-), once it installed, I unplugged my USB and booted directly to the HDD instead of my Windows SSD. Here I was presented with a command line looking scren which showed all my drives, I highlighted my El Cap drive and used the bootflags "USBBusFix=Yes USBLegacyOff=Yes IGPEnabler=Yes(<-- Didn't need that but it worked better when I used it lol i dont know why) and npci=0x3000, and I then set up my account.
Here I am :-) I do have issues with it, I can not get any drivers to install as I can not connect to my Wi-Fi with it. It doesnt detect my network card :( and only one USB port on my MOBO works with it, at this point I kind of gave up, I am yet to go back to it once I have time to try and fix it, so if you have any suggestions on how to fix it, let me know!
If you need help, I suggest checking out nova-x.co.uk, they probably know why something isnt working for you. I got replies within 12 hours and the solutions they gave me worked!
