Hello!

I finally decided to take the plunge and attempt a hackintosh of my own.

Pertinent specs:

  • i7 4790k
  • EVGA GTX 970x2 (SLI)
  • EVGA Z97 Classified motherboard (Sound Blaster Creative Sound Core 3D) http://ift.tt/1HLjTQ6

And it lives! Nvidia drivers installed fine. CPU runs about 10 degrees lower than Windows and that is great.

However, I'm having trouble getting audio to register. For now, I have a bluetooth speaker (surprisingly a USB bluetooth dongle works out of the box) so I'm okay for now.

I've tried all 3 of the Voodoo driver option in Multibeast to no avail.

Googling hasn't found anything useful in this regard.

Is it possible to use Nvidia's HDMI output for sound as well? That's what I do on Windows for the speakers.

Thanks!

EDIT: Found the solution!

I'm not sure if I was supposed to install this alongside the Multibeast method, but installing/restarting worked!
