Hey guys, I'm still working on my first ever hackintosh, and first computer build in general. Thanks for the help in overcoming a major hurdle a few days ago. Extra thanks to u/hrrrrsn!
Sadly, my stuff is whack again today.
I had my El Capitan installation working for about 20 minutes last night, but after I successfully booted from the internal drive (after running MultiBeast), I powered down and moved the machine to another room/monitor. It hasn't booted since. (Progress bar stuck about 70-80% and I got a beach ball of death eventually.)
I was following the guides here and here
Here's an imgur gallery with screenshots of what I'm seeing in verbose mode. I most recently ran with -f -v -x
Things I've tried: 1. Wiping the USB key and re-running Unibeast on it with my original settings. Sticking it in the hackintosh and booting from it. 2. Opening the hardware case and making sure nothing was loose. 3. Mounting the USB key's EFI partition, moving all version-specific kexts from /System/Library/Extensions/10.* to /System/Library/Other and deleting the 10.* folders (following advice from here 4. Pressing the spacebar when selecting boot location from Clover, and selecting "without cache"
Any help would be super appreciated!
