I hope this is okay to post here.

I consider myself pretty computer illiterate yet I'm the first person everyone around me asks for help. Maybe that says more about the company I keep than me. ha. Usually my "help" when they have an issue is basically just repairing their disk utility and slamming down on a bunch of keys while I pretend I'm a hacker.

I'm pretty decent in Photoshop/Illustrator so that's probably why people have the impression I actually know how to work a computer. I really have no clue.

That being said my Mac just crashed for the 100th time. It should be getting repaired in the next week however it needs to be replaced regardless.

Now I'm sitting in front of a new PC Windows 10 and if I thought I was a moron before I'm 10x worse now. I have zero clue how to operate this thing and I want to switch over to OSX asap. I know I need to install it on my external, that's basically all I know. I don't even know where to start looking to even get it from So I'm sitting here watching this PC reset (6% in 8 minutes so I have lots of time) and I wondering what the best way to go about this is.

Is there a site that anyone here can recommend. Possibly with explain like I'm actually 5 instructions?

Thanks a ton
