I noticed in my Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H BIOS that there is an option for "CPU Upgrade". I've got an Intel i7 4790k, and it has an options including a bunch of i7-4770K speeds, and two that interest me: i7-4790K CPU 4.6GHz and i7-4790K CPU 4.8GHz.
If I was to enable the 4.8GHz mode, would it be safe? I have a high performance cooler definitely capable of handling that.
