Hi. I have already posted here once about the hackintosh I'm about to build, and I decided all the parts... except for the motherboard.

I'll be using an Intel Core i7-6700K CPU and a EVGA GeForce GTX 950 SC GAMING GPU. I'll make a triple-boot system, with macOS, Windows and Linux.

Now, I'm very uncertain about the motherboard I should buy (which should be both macOS compatible, and also good motherboard for the other OSs).

The price should not be over 170$, and I'd like it to have the latest features such as USB 3.1 and USB-C. ATX form factor is fine.

Here's what I considered until now:

  • Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 -> pretty pricy, many people think it is a bit overkill for what I'm trying to do (I'm not a gamer). I read mixed reviews about it on the web.

  • ASRock Z170 Extreme4 -> Looks good, I like all the specs. However – I don't know why – ASRock doesn't really convince me. I read mixed reviews about it, and it looks like an ASUS rip off to me. It doesn't give me the idea of a very reliable company; I may be wrong though.

  • ASUS Z170-PRO/ASUS Z170-A -> Looks good, it has less features then ASRock, but it looks like almost nobody on the internet has ever built a hackintosh with it, so I'm afraid that in case of any incompatibility I would be alone.

If you have any other suggestion, you are welcome. I'd be very thankful to anyone who could help me decide.
