I put all my bare drives in my newly built El Captin hackintosh and almost everyone of them had file permission issues. In the Sharing & Permission pane of all the drives I gave all users Read & Write access. This was fine until I did it to my boot drive, which became unbootable. I was able to boot into a clone and repair permissions but I still have strange thing happening. For example when I try to delete files I get a message "The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -43)". What should the Sharing & Permissions setting be for a boot drive?
