I just built my first Hackintosh and confess to being a complete n00b at this. It's basically the tonymac CustoMac Mini Deluxe from August 2013.
I have two SSDs on the machine, one with Windows 7 Ultimate and one with OSX Mavericks. I'd like to be able to virtualize the W7 install and run it within OSX from time to time, but also be able to boot into W7. Booting into either OS works fine, but I can't figure out how to virtualize the W7 install within OSX. I've read in several places that any Bootcamped install can be virtualized within OSX, but trying to launch Bootcamp produces an error saying that my firmware is out of date.
Any suggestions? I'm open to buying Parallels or VMWare Fusion or another program if that will be an effective way to do this.
