Hey guys, so this weekend I was trying to Hackintosh my desktop. I looked up the capability of everything and I think I should be pretty good. My parts list is:
- ASRock X79 Extreme3 LGA 2011 Intel X79 Motherboard
- EVGA GeForce GTX 660
- Intel Xeon E5-2630 Sandy Bridge-EP Six-Core Server Processor
My current problem, is my inability to get to the installer. I've tried using unibeast and myhack but the closest I've seemed to get is booting with the flags: -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x3000. That gets me to a point where it says "waiting for root device"
I had a friend suggest installing Mavericks to the drive from my MacBook Pro, putting it in the rig, then booting into single user mode, however, when I do this, I get the same error. The drive shows up using the flash drive with unibeast on it, but when it tries to boot I get "waiting for root device"
Any ideas what could be going on? I've adjusted my bios to what I've seen recommended, but no luck.
