So, for the past two days I've been working on getting Mavericks working on this machine and it's been pretty tricky but so far almost everything is working perfectly here. The biggest problem I'm having now is with graphics.

I'm using the EVGA GTX 660 SC and even though I get the transparent menu bar and reflective dock, performance is very sub-par. A few examples:

  • Scrolling in a few places is especially painful (chrome's history window, anything in safari, iTunes) because of how laggy it is

  • Games are pretty unplayable fluctuating between 20-40ish FPS on low (while I can run the same stuff on windows maxed out caped at 121fps)

  • I've got a few minor graphical glitches here and there. In between icons on the dock there's a weird line, whenever I launch something intensive and it's in that non-responding state while it loads it randomly shows bitmaps and resources from pages I've visited in Chrome in the last few minutes

  • Sometimes I've even got all windows to be completely invisible - I can see them on the previews in mission control, I can highlight them with the mouse but once I go there they're not there - I can click stuff on them but they're invisible until I reboot.

Here's my specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955

GPU: EVGA GTX 660 SC

MOBO: Gigabyte M68MT-S2P

RAM: Kingston 8GB 1333MHz

And my setup:

Mavericks 10.9, installed using Niresh (for AMD compatibility) Chameleon Bootloader dual-booting Windows 8 and OSX, default bootflags with the exception of AMD kernel of course.

Thanks for the help.
