Hey r/hackintosh. I ran into a funny problem. I installed Mavericks without trouble. Ran Multibeast. Now it boots beautifully.

I set to overclocking. For that I installed Windows 7 on a separate harddrive. I overclocked to 4.5GHz. It was stable with prime95 for hours.

I go to boot Mavericks, and BAM: "Memory allocation error! Addr: 0x318, Size: 0x507, File: free, Line: 0"

It won't boot.

I go look around, and find that someone with the same rig had the same problem, and to fix it they had to back off the OC to 4.3GHz.

I do the same, and it boots into Mavericks just fine. I'd kind of like to know what's going on, and OC faster than 4.3GHz.

I tried asking over at tonymacx86 and got nothing, so I'm trying here too. Any ideas? Thanks!
