In light of a recent occurrence in the subreddit, it has come to the attention of the moderators that we have a few "problem subscribers". I just want to let everyone know of commentor's reddiquette that should be followed, so that we can be peaceful to each other, and another ban doesn't need to occur on this subreddit (/u/Andersbergh couldn't figure out how to throw the banhammer until today.)

  1. This subreddit is developed for new users. Stupid questions (TO AN EXTENT) are OK. But please use the sidebar to keep them to a minimum. We don't need 9 posts about if your AMD processor will work.

  2. Because this subreddit is developed for new members of the /r/hackintosh community (welcome, guys!), we should be friendly an respectful. Remember, you don't know where they come from or their background, just because you have had a successful hack for over a year.

  3. New users should be reading FAQs and information, more than asking questions, it is why they were developed in the first place. If you ask a question clearly answered to the right of the page, you're doing something wrong.

  4. Yes, we will rate your build. It's one of the main reasons our subreddit exists. We are a community that help each other out, so let's do that.

  5. Please be respectful of each other. The fact that this is reddit, doesn't change the fact that people will legitimately need help, and we shouldn't turn that down.

For all of our veterans (and we know who you are), please keep in mind that you may not have scrolled through TonyMac's forums in a while, but take a look at it today. Ignoring our most recent incident, much of TonyMac's forums have similar questions getting posted to our subreddit. We are here to help, not hurt.

If any of the other moderators would like to add anything, please do. Just in case I missed something.

(Please upvote for visibility, no karma is given to me.)
