My Perixx PX-1100 keyboard just arrived today and firstly I tried it in Win7 which worked as expected in a rear USB port. As I booted into my OSX 10.9 (clover/EFI) install, I was worried to see the keyboard not function in the OS X login screen (it had worked in the BIOS).
After plugging it around a few ports, I realise in OS X it will only work in a USB 2.0 port, of which I have 2x.
Annoyingly, the USB 2.0 ports on my Fractal Design Define r4 case are on the front top. I have another USB keyboard which is a very dirty and old-old official mac (plastic) one. This works in either a USB2 or USB3 port.
I'm somewhat gutted that I cannot seem to use any of the 6 or so USB3.0 ports on the back. The front/top USB2.0 ports are in a very inconvenient place for plugging something like a keyboard.
Is this something I can fix via Clover or kexts? The only other real Mac I can try it on is a macbook air without USB3.0. Of course it works in either port on that.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H.
