I've got a hackintosh with a gigabyte H77 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4141#ov) motherboard running Mavericks but the CPU runs EXTREMELY hot (80°+) because the fan powermanagement is not working correctly and the fans dont kick into highspeed under load.

I've been searching around the net for a few weeks but can't find a solution.

Some forum posts suggest changing the fan control settings in the BIOS, but this doesnt help. The cpu fan speed (if it changes, im not sure) doesnt ramp up to nearly near full speed.

Some other posts suggested downloading various fan control utilities for osx - however, none of them work.

And still other posts suggest installing a manual fan controller to the cpu fan. I'm not sure what kind I should buy..for instance..would this one work: http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=206 ??

And lastly, some other posts suggested that this is an ongoing problem with no solution.

I'm hoping making this thread can bring more awareness to what seems to be a common issue.

Please help!
