Somewhat new to PC building, let alone Hackintosh building but I've done a whole bunch of research and have picked out the parts I'd like to use. One area that I'm now looking into is better fans but I've run into a few questions, particularly with PWM fans.

If I understand them correctly, PWM fans would be a little nicer since they could run slow and quiet under light use but automatically spool up under hard use, as opposed to standard fans which would be running at either full bore or a dictated setting?

If I'm using a PWM fan for intake/exhaust, I assume I can just plug it into the mobo (Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H) and the bios will control the speed based on temps?

If I'm going to replace the fans on a Corsair H80i, I assume I'll want to plug them into the pump controller, so does PWM even matter?

I have a feeling I'm overthinking this but it's the last step before I get everything and put it all together so I just want to be sure... Thanks.
