So, it's been forever since I built a PC. Here's my Windows 8.1 Pro Gamer/Hackintosh Build.
I purchased every part from MicroCenter with price matching to Newegg and Amazon. I chose MicroCenter, because it's right next door to where I live (...and because I want brick and mortar PC BYO shops to stay in business. And you should too!).
I chose these parts because they are Hackintosh compatible and also provide for a sweet Windows 8.1 Pro x64 Gaming setup.
The Hackintosh installation process is really more trouble than it's worth, but I have loaded OSX Mavericks and it does work with some fiats (Time changes every time I go back to Windows from OSX and other silly things along those lines). I use a MacBook Pro as my personal, so I don't really need another Mac. Either way, it's nice to know I can run Windows 8.1, OSX, and Linux if I wanted to. It's all about excess.
The prices below do not reflect what I payed (price matching, MIR, and open box items) The Mobo was an open box for $113 plus $20 MIR = $93. I like to live dangerously if it saves me $50. The graphics card was going to be open box, but for some reason it wasn't in stock, so they cut me a deal on the ASUS GTX 760 for $207 + MIR. I did pay $159 for the Samsung EVO SSD, which was the only thing I over-payed for IMO. The i4770K was $269 in store, so that was a steal. Power supply was $119 + MIR. Asus Monitor was price-matched to $276 (great monitor BTW). Memory was price-matched to $168.
My Price = $1423.42 (incl. Tax and MIR)
PCPartPicker Current Lowest Price = $1492.11
Considering I payed tax (6%), I still saved money shopping at MicroCenter.

As far as the pictures go (I'm not a photographer), I didn't get any fancy lights or cable management. I use it as an HTPC when needed, so it sits in my living room next to my home theater. For that reason, I desire limited lights and sounds. I'll be picking up some Noctua fans to completely eliminate the noise eventually, but as of now it's pretty quiet.
