Helping out a friend with this one. Its kind of a tough nut to break maybe someone here has the answer though?
_ Hi kinda new to mac os in general but i'm a linux user so i have a small basic knowledge of operating system foundations in general.
I have a ssd disk with 3 primary partitions and 5 logical partitions.
I would like to quad boot OpenSUSE, Archlinux, edubuntu and OSX on one or more of the logical drives as well as leave windows 7 alone.
I have a fare amount of data on each of the primary partitions as well as acronis secure zone running on one of the drives.
Is there a way to install osx mavericks to the logical partition without massively screwing up my system in the process ?
I do keep good backups but the last thing i want to have to do is a reinstall.
I also don't have access to a USB drive at the moment but i do have some blank CDs (not dvds)
Would it be better to just back everything up and start fresh or is there a simpler way to install mavericks to the free logical partition ?
