Hey guys-
I'm currently thinking about upgrading from my '09 MBP - I'd like to get a Mac Mini, but I'm waiting for a Haswell refresh... but it may not even happen and I'm getting a bit impatient.
I've been contemplating building a hackintosh - I'm experienced in building, just not one of these beasts. My current parts list (subject to change)-
Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H motherboard
Core i7 4770k
Gigabyte GTX 770 (GV-N770OC-2GD)
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 wifi card
Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2x8gb) DDR3-1600
Corsair 650w PSU (can't recall the model atm)
and a Corsair H60 water cooler
Samsung 840 EVO 250 SSD
WD Blue 1tb HDD
...how does it all look? Should be compatible, according to Tonymac... I'm just curious how many "real Mac" features I may lose by building this machine. I hear of a lot of people not getting sleep to work. That's my only real issue. I'm not going to shut it down all the time and I don't want it running all the time, either. I also read of a lot of people that seemingly don't make any changes to their system, but they boot it up and it randomly stops working(?)
I'm trying to read up as much as I can, so apologies if I had any questions that have been touched on multiple times before. Just looking to get some advice from the community before spending my money. Thanks in advance!
