Hello,
I'm a rather new to the Hackintoshing. (well, maybe one try in 2007 that ended in all my data lost ;>).
After using Ubuntu for the last 5-6 years, I decided I need proper, native Photoshop :> I currently have Mavericks installed on a PC with: i5 3570k, Asus P8Z77-V LX, 12 gig of ram in four sticks, Asus GTX670 DCII Samsung 840 EVO
Used Unibeast/Multibeast.
It runs fairly well, rather stable and I get 3000/9000k Geekbench scores. The issues I have are no sleep/wake functionality, and from what I can understand, the CPU runs at full speed due to the NullCPUsomething. Unfortunetly, theres no DSDT for my mobo, and a modded bios that some tonymac's topics mention seems to be pulled down.
The question is: Would it be worth to change my motherboard to the famous Gigabyte z77-ds3h? Being able the throttle down my CPU and putting my PC/Mac to sleep when I go get some coffee could return the investment. The question is - is it still as hassle-free as it was in previous OS X versions? Are there any issues in general, or should I maybe expect some with my other parts?
Thanks for any help.
