So, I follow the instructions to install snow leopard on tonymac, it installs, I can navigate around, and ethernet is working.
I then do the 10.6.8 update, follow the instructions perfectly, and tick the required boxes, the first 2 times I clicked drivers in multibeast. It forces me to power off during the installation
When I try to boot it gives me a bad sector error, so I format the drive for the 3rd time and reinstall snow leopard, I then untick drivers and it doesn't force me to shut down, so I eject iBoot, shutdown, and turn back on, Apple logo flashes and then pc restarts, this keeps repeating itself.
I don't know what I am doing wrong, I just want to update to mavericks, is there any way of doing this without updating to 10.6.8?
The boot mode was in ACHI by deault, I haven't done the HPET thing because I couldn't find it on my bios
Specs are:
i5 4670k Samsung 840 Evo 250GB SSD 1TB HDD (Not plugged in yet) Gigabyte GTX 660 TPLink Wireless card (the suggested one, so I didn't unplug it as It's mac compatible) Gigabyte Z87-HD3
I am going to reinstall snow leopard again , I believe I have followed the instructions perfectly, I will not do anything until someone replies telling me what I've done wrong during the update.
Help is much appreciated!
