First off, the three main components:
- i3-2100 (Sandy Bridge)
- ASrock Z75 Pro3
- GTX 660
Through all my searching I haven't been able to get this to work.
I was looking through the HCL's on the OSx86 wiki and found that those three components all show up as supported on 10.8.2, so I figured I'd start there.
I don't have access to a Mac, so I can't make a USB boot drive from the Installer DMG, so I had to download iAtkos ML2 which is conveniently 10.8.2. I just burned it to a dual layer DVD and the installer ran fine. As the install finishes and the system tries to reboot, I get what I think is a kernel panic. Anyway...
After I hard shut down because of the KP, I remove the iAtkos DVD and boot with -v to see where the system hangs, and it's always on IOBluetooth. It says completed, but never moves on. I read that's because graphics is next and graphics is hanging, but I don't know.
So what's the deal?
If the solution is "Use a Mac as directed in the tutorials" I guess I could find a Mac to use.
