I built a dual boot hackintosh. Prodigy case, i7 4770k (with 212 evo cooler), gtx770, 16gb crucial 1600 ram, Sea Sonic gold 750 modular (overkill I know).

And the Z87N-WIFI motherboard. I had it running for a month. Operating systems were on separate ssds. Overclocking was never planned.

Messing inside Windows 8.1, I installed the Gigabyte software. In the software, I was able to control fan speeds and see temps etc. But the software could also test your system for its overclockability. It practically touts this feature. There was an option called "Easy Tune". It would find the optimal speed to stability for your system. I thought "why not." I could try it and see my temps. Then revert it back.

I start the Easy Tune option. The system asks to reboot. I say yes. It reboots back to Windows. Does a test with a circular progress indicator (it really does look like it's tuning something). THEN 10 seconds in, my computer turns off. Like the plug was pulled.

The power button doesn't initiate bios, nothing. Some led lights (connected directly to the psu) blink for a split second. So I assume it's not the psu. I reset the CMOS (paperclip). I even pulled the motherboard battery for 10 sec. I would have tried pulling the ram too but the big heatsink (evo 212) was preventing that from happening.

I assume the motherboard is fried. I hope it's not the CPU.

Any thoughts? Advice? Where did i screw up? How stupid am I?

I set up an RMA with gigabyte but I might be screwed because I can't find the original wifi card. Hopefully they take the board. Switched the wifi with a dell card. This process could take weeks anyhow. Has anybody ever dealt with them before?

Thanks. This is more of a frustration rant. Cathartic. It was called "Easy Tune" it seemed so easy.
