I built a new computer last fall, and decided a few months later to hackintosh it (installed Mavericks after the tools were updated to do so after it's release). Everything went smooth when I did so, and everything worked great. Fast forward to earlier this year, I installed a Mavericks update through the app store, and my sound stopped working. I tried running multibeast again and reinstalling kexts with no luck. I tried the VoodooHDA kext also with no luck.
Last week, I was rerunning multibeast again to fix a different issue, and after doing so (and switching speakers back to the rear of the computer since I'd moved em to the front port to see if it made a difference), sound started working again. Until I restarted again a couple days later and sound stopped working again. Hvaen't been able to get it working again. I can use a USB headset, just not the onboard sound.
