I keep getting the error message that window's can't partition my drive to install windows 8.1 on a blank SSD. Drive is Evo 840 250g ssd. Running a usb 3.0 16 gig stick, with the windows native software/bootloader. It is reading my other hard drives, in my SATA ports, and shows the drive I want to install, but won't allow it to be installed to. Can delete the partitions I make, and turn it back into unallocated space, but not a viable install partition. I haven't tried unplugging my other sata drives, but I have tried disabling them in the BIOS and that hasn't worked, they still appear in the install screen that shows your various drives. I had the same problem with the windows 7 installer, so I switched to 8.1, same issue. I'm assuming it has something to do with the partition tables or my SATA ports. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can post screen shots of my the relevant settings, or confirm if they are correct, if need be. Thanks!
