From what I've heard, the more RAM the better for Logic Pro. I figure I'll start with 16GB, right now I have 8GB on my Mac mini and I haven't had any issues YET but since I plan on doing RAM heavy audio work in the future I figure I should have at least 16GB but with room to add another 16GB for a total of 32GB.
But SPEED!? Is 1600 enough? Or should I blow a ton of money on it, but as a result have a higher CAS latency? The mobo I'm getting supports up to 2800. 2800 is insane expensive, ranging from $25/GB to $50/GB, with latency only as low as 11.
So do I sacrifice latency for frequency or the other way around? Or is anything over 1600 overkill?
