I have almost everything perfect in my Windows 8.1/Hackintosh dual boot working. Chameleon is set to my native resolution, so is the Apple logo boot screen. I have hidden my non-bootable partitions, I've set System Reserved to my default partition, and I've renamed System Reserved to Windows.
After making these modifications, the timeout entry no longer works right. When set to the default 2 seconds, it actually takes 10 seconds. When the value is changed from 2 seconds I get a kernel panic.
Additionally, the default partition (System Reserved renamed to Windows) shows the Windows icon when the the timeout counter counts down. When the counter is interrupted to manually choose a partition, the Windows partition loses its Windows flag icon and its label changes to "??". The icon changs to a white rectangle. Highlighting the "??" partition and selecting it brings the Windows icon and proper label back. Then selecting it a second time boots into Windows.
Anyone know what can be causing this weirdness?
