Hello all, recently, my parents (I'm 16) have allowed me to build them a hackintosh as their new computer. Long story short, i f-ed up. Used an anniversary pentium with H97N-WIFI. I'm getting one last chance to fix this before the parts can't be returned.
Anyways, I looked up the recomended builds for Oct. 2014 on tonymacx86, and saw that all I needed to do (I think) is just swap out the CPU. What I'm asking is, do the RAM and PSU really matter with compatibility? I'm using a Corsair CX430M, which has powered on the computer and seems to work. Given the bellow, link, is it totally proven that my/that build will work with Yosemite?
Also, is there a guide for installing Yosemite that actually works, including like what to do with kexts and DSDTs? I found the tonymacx86 one to be rather unhelpful.
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it.
