Hi Everyone, I've bought most, but not all, of the pieces I need for my hackintosh build. However, I didn't want to buy a GPU yet for a few reasons (to keep costs low, to hope for a boxing day deal since Black Friday/Cyber Monday was a bust, and because I'm not exactly sure how much gaming I'll be doing with this). I thought that I'd be okay without it, but some of the posts I've read seem to imply that a GPU is necessary for a hackintosh....is it? And if I pick a compatible GPU and install it later, will it be a massive headache? Finally, I want to prep my USB to install Yosemite, but the only Mac I have access to is my current Mac...a Macbook Core Duo that is running 10.6.8 but that can't run Yosemite (or Mavericks), so it can't be downloaded from the App Store. Is there a way I can get the Yosemite installer (legally!) or am I going to have to do things the long way using the iBoot + DVD method (which is not only less straight forward, but I don't intend to have a DVD drive in my tower either....)?
