So we discovered some serious wiring problems in our home a few weeks ago after a rainstorm. My UPS, power supply, and mobo all got fried. Luckily, the landlord was generous enough to reimburse for all the new parts I needed.
I'm now running my system with a Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 3 with an i5 4770 (I can't remember if it's a k or not, but I don't think that matters at this point).
I'm using Clover, and I got Ethernet and Audio I got working with Multibeast. The only problem is:
I can't boot into my OS. I mean, I can, but only if I do this funky process.
The only way to boot into my working OS is to select my USB install stick through my BIOS's boot manager. THEN select OS X from my hard drive.
If I select the SSD through my boot manager, Clover loads (different theme), and when I select OS X (or the recovery partition) there's a panic and it won't boot. Help? This isn't the worst thing that could be, just an inconvenience.
The error that comes up when it fails to boot is: "Unable to find driver for this platform \ ACPI\" and the code I see is: "0xffffff80008f1174"
Let me know if you need more info.
