I'm planning on working on my 2009 macpro, I've already done some work on it so I'm not worried about the warranty or anything. I'm attempting to build my own cooling case thing and applying heat sinks onto the bottom of the logic board. I was wondering if the thermal paste would cause issues with the circuitry (conduct electricity or something). Some IR pics of the heat coming off the board are included. If it won't hurt any components I plan to cover the bottom with copper heat sinks and build a slightly larger case for better airflow and I'll include more fans (powered by USB). Thanks for the help
