I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit but here it goes. For the last few days I have been trying to get Yosemite to run on my PC. For my most recent attempt I used a friend's Mac laptop to get Yosemite onto a USB flash drive which I made bootable using Unibeast and Multibeast. I get as far as the Multibeast bootloader screen. When I choose to boot from the USB from there the screen goes black for a few seconds, then flashes the apple startup screen, then the computer reboots and I'm back at the Multibeast bootloader. I tried using bootflags like "GraphicsEnabler=No" and "npci0x2000" and a few others but no dice. At this point I'm stumped and beginning to get irritated with it. I would appreciate any suggestions or possible solutions. My computer specs are below. Thanks.

  • Intel i7-4790k CPU

  • MSI Z97-G45 gaming motherboard

  • Nvidia GTX 780ti GPU

  • 16GB DDR3 RAM

  • 2 1TB HDD WD hard drives (one of which is empty and where I was planning on putting OSX)

  • 1 Samsung Evo SSD (Currently running Windows 8.1)

  • EVGA 750 watt PSU
