I have a GA-Z87MX-D3H. The only problem with it that I am having is that right before the system enters the power state where everything moving turns off (fans, HDDs, not sure what this power state is called), there is a 10-20 second pause. I am using Clover. The Clover fixshutdown and haltenabler options do not fix this.
It happens before entering shutdown/restart/sleep. I have done some research, and the only other thing I could find is people having this issue because a daemon was taking too long to close. This not at all the case for me for a few reasons. I checked the verbose shutdown messages, and could not find anything suspicious. The halt happens after the graphics card has been switched off by the OS, which is probably after zombie daemons are terminated. (Display turns off, not GFX issue or anything) Also, the issue happens exactly the same when entering sleep.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Re-submitted because previous post got no replies, and it got buried.
