Can I use a single HDD for storage and share it with Windows?

Hi /r/hackintosh,

I'm thinking of getting 2 SSDs, one for Windows boot and another for Hackintosh boot, but only one 2TB HDD to be used for storage. Can I partition the HDD to 1TB for Hackintosh and 1TB for Windows? So they don't get messed up or whatever.

Sorry if it's a silly question, never Hackintosh-ed nor dual booted a PC before, lol.
