Hello everyone!
So a little bit of background information. I work at a PR, digital media firm. For anyone that doesn't know what that means, big companies hire my firm and we do PR for them. We also design logos, build websites, and manage video blogs.
Lately, we have had some pretty tall orders come through our video blogging department and it has made my boss want a computer that can tackle everything more easily. I told him that I have some experience building computers, I built my own at home twice before. I also helped a plumber build a computer for his company because it's cheaper in the long run when you can replace parts.
He said that was nice but he didn't care for the software that was available to PC's and he would much rather have a Mac Pro.
So I looked at the top and bottom of the spectrum of Mac Pros and picked out parts that were comparable. I can build a Mac Pro myself for a couple thousand dollars cheaper than Apple sells them. I was wondering if there is anything I should consider before telling my boss that I can build him a computer that would be tailored to what we need it for, while running the Apple OS?
