When I do it the other way around, I just download one of Microsoft's official ISOs and pop it in VirtualBox. If I'm really serious about configuration and actually using Windows for some reason, and I can't just BootCamp it, I use Parallels....

But now my friend has a powerful Intel-based desktop and tried to casually toss the words "Hackintosh" and "VirtualBox" into a sentence. He asked me to plug a thumb drive into my MacBook and download "the latest copy of OS X" onto the drive for him, and it doesn't appear to be as simple as connecting to the App Store and downloading a DMG or ISO, as I get an installer instead.

I was informed over in /r/AppleHelp that running an OS X virtual machine is against their EULA or something like that. I have no experience on the matter, and was wondering if there's someone else here who does? Perhaps is there somewhere else I should ask, in case I'm somehow breaking the rules here too? Initially I thought "This isn't a Hackintosh, it's just a virtual machine" so I dunno what to expect posting here...
