My work requires me to run an application on the Mac sometimes, currently I use a 2007 Mac Mini. However, it's unwieldy to travel with (although my Eagle Creek padded small packing cube is quite a good fit) and transcontinental VNC is unwieldy as well. Is there something ... better? If it would be passively cooled, that'd be great. I guess I could do a Chromebook (is there one that works?? from what I saw the Acer C710 keyboard doesn't work, the wifi needs replacement), that's not too big but if you look at something like http://www.fit-pc.com/web/products/fitlet/fitlet-b/ this... of course these are AMD machines so no dice (if I understand correctly) but still, is there something like that for Hackintosh? The Intel NUC is very expensive, the 2007 Mac Mini was 120 CAD and does the job, don't feel like spending 5-600 USD to get a slightly smaller machine.
