Hi all, I've had a hackintosh for a few years now, and I've recently purchased an Airport Extreme AC to use with my BCM94360CD Wifi/BT card. But lately, I've ran into an issue regarding connecting to the 5Ghz band
The relevant components:
Airport Extreme AC
the famous BCM94360CD (PCI-E)
Z77X-UD5H (rev1.1)
Intel i7 3770
OS X Yosemite
The Problem: Periodically, the 5Ghz wifi will either be unable to connect or connect with VERY slow connection speeds.
The assumptions: Since the 5Ghz band's channel is set to 'Automatic' on the router, it switches to a different channel, causing the Wifi card to drop out. A few things to note though, this behaviour occurs on Windows 8 as well, which makes me think it's hardware's fault, and it can't be the Airport's fault, because my other macs still uses 5Ghz fine when my Hackintosh goes down.
Has anyone come across this behaviour? It's quite frustrating trying to switch different channels all the time, hoping to get one that works, which only appears to solve the problem 1/5th of the time.
