If your temps are considerably higher in OS X than in Windows, trying enabling PStates and CStates in Clover Configurator. Obviously this only works in Clover. My Windows temps were in the upper 30s/lower 40s when idling, but OS X idled at about 70 degrees. After some experimenting, enabled PStates and CStates made my CPU idle at the same temps as Windows - upper 30s, lower 40s. Definitely better. Hope this helps anyone with this problem.
