Just got my build working! (albeit with the usual iMessage/Facetime exception). It constists of: i5-4460, GA-z97x-UD3H-BK, GFX 970 and then an Apple Cinema Display (not thunderbolt). I use a minidisplayport->displayport adapter for the display and it works fine as long as the display is plugged in during POST.
I've tried hot plugging but it doesn't work(the reason being that I have a macbook that i would like to use with the ACD from time to time and then switch back to my hackintosh afterwards).
Is this use-case even possible? Can hot plugging in this way be achieved?
