Hello,

I've had some experience building computers years ago, but nowadays I don't really know what specs are even considered good or important.

I'm looking for a computer that can handle some work for my design/photography business.

I am currently on a 1st Gen Retina MBP which was running well for a while, but the battery is going out, the monitor burns, and I don't like having all of my work on one device.

Once I build this hackintosh, I can format the MBP and send it in to apple for repairs with a fresh start.

My budget is $1400 without monitor (i've got one of those 27" Shimian displays which has been good to me so far). I'm certainly willing to pay less and perhaps upgrade down the road if needed.

Are all of these parts recommended for my objective?

An important note is that I'd like something pretty quiet. Doesn't have to be absolutely silent, but I hate the sound of a loud fan on desktops.

Thanks
